This notice is issued under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and should be read together with our privacy notice, which describes in plain terms what we collect and why.
The data user
Beyonary Sdn Bhd (Company No. 202101005453 (1405752-A)) of 95-2, Jalan BK 5A/2, Bandar Kinrara, 47180 Puchong, Selangor, trading as Mintaoo Store, is the data user in respect of the personal data described in this notice.
The personal data we process
Your name, contact details, delivery and billing addresses, order and payment history, the records of your returns, warranty claims and support conversations, and the technical data your browser sends when you visit the site.
Why we process it, and on what basis
To perform the contract you enter when you place an order, to comply with our legal obligations, for our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and running the shop, and, for marketing only, on your consent.
Whether it is obligatory
The data marked as required at checkout is obligatory: without a name, a contact number and a delivery address we cannot accept or deliver an order. Everything else, including your phone number for delivery updates and your consent to marketing, is optional and refusing it does not affect your order.
Who we may disclose it to
Couriers and installers, our payment provider, manufacturers and authorised service centres for warranty claims, our hosting and email providers under contract, our professional advisers, and any authority entitled to it by law. The full list and the reasons are in our privacy notice.
Transfers outside Malaysia
Some of our providers operate servers outside Malaysia. Where personal data is transferred out of the country we rely on contractual protections requiring a comparable standard of care.
Your rights under the Act
- Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct anything inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Limit processing: ask us to restrict how we use it, including for direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent: withdraw marketing consent at any time, without giving a reason.
A data access or correction request may attract a prescribed fee where the Act allows one, and we will tell you before we charge anything.
How to exercise them
Write to us at the postal address above, or use the email address on our contact page, marking the message for the attention of the data protection contact. We will acknowledge and respond within 21 days as the Act requires. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, which protects your data rather than obstructs you.
Consent
By placing an order you consent to us processing your personal data for the purposes set out in our privacy notice. Marketing consent is separate, always optional, and can be withdrawn at any time without affecting anything you have already bought.
Language
This notice is issued in English. A Bahasa Malaysia version is available on request, and in the event of a conflict the English version prevails.
